ELM Resources
Practical, compassionate resources created to help families and professionals understand what may be happening beneath the surface and respond with greater confidence.
Each ELM resource is designed to be accessible, useful and grounded in lived experience — because support should feel clearer when families need it most.

Inside the ELM Companion Library
The ELM Companion Library is a protected collection of printable worksheets and reflective tools for children, families, schools and professionals. Each resource is designed to support gentle conversation, shared understanding and practical next steps—without reducing a child to a single behaviour or difficulty.
My Emotional Backpack
Some feelings, worries and experiences can feel like things a child carries. This gentle printable invites children to write or draw on blank pebbles inside a backpack, helping adults listen with curiosity and without pressure. Children choose what they want to share.
Printable companion worksheet
Alongside the book illustration, children can use a blank version of the backpack to write or draw what they feel they are carrying. It is designed to support gentle conversation without asking a child to explain or share more than feels comfortable. The printable is available inside the protected ELM Companion Library.
ELM publications
ELM publications are created to make complex experiences easier to understand without losing the lived reality behind them. Each edition combines compassionate explanation, practical guidance and tools that families and professionals can return to.
The EBSA Handbook is currently being prepared for publication and will be available through Amazon when it is ready.
From understanding to practical support
Reading about a child’s experience is only the beginning. Each ELM publication is designed to help parents, educators and professionals turn understanding into thoughtful, practical next steps.
Reflective questions, companion worksheets and gentle prompts help bring different perspectives together, make space for the child’s voice and support conversations without pressure or judgement. There is no fixed answer—only a clearer, more compassionate place to begin.
