ELM Editions is committed to making this website welcoming, clear and accessible to as many people as possible, including disabled people and those who use assistive technologies.

Our approach to accessibility

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as our guiding standard.

When creating and reviewing this website, we aim to:

  • Use clear, straightforward language and descriptive headings.
  • Keep navigation consistent and predictable.
  • Use readable text, spacing and colour contrast.
  • Provide meaningful alternative text for important images.
  • Make links and buttons clear about where they lead.
  • Avoid relying on colour alone to communicate meaning.
  • Keep forms simple, clearly labelled and easy to understand.
  • Support keyboard navigation, text enlargement and assistive technologies wherever the website platform allows.

The website has not yet undergone a full independent accessibility audit, so we do not claim complete WCAG conformance. We will continue reviewing and improving it as ELM Editions develops.

Known limitations and ongoing improvement

This website has not yet been independently tested across a full range of browsers, devices and assistive technologies. There may therefore be accessibility barriers that we have not yet identified.

Some features are provided by Webador or third-party services and may not be fully within ELM Editions’ control. Downloadable documents and embedded content may also vary in accessibility.

When we identify a barrier, we will review it, make reasonable improvements where possible and provide an accessible alternative where we can.
